EstiForge: Construction Tools

This Privacy Policy explains how EstiForge: Construction Tools (“EstiForge”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the app. EstiForge provides construction calculators, unit converters, estimating tools, project tools, price-book functions, and related export features.

Platform and version scope

Features and service providers vary by platform and app version. The Windows disclosures in this policy describe EstiForge 2.1.7. References to Google Play Billing, Android advertising identifiers and AdMob apply to Android versions that include those services, not to the Windows app.

Windows 2.1.7 does not enable AdMob advertising, developer-operated cloud accounts or cloud sync, or Sentry crash reporting. Local calculations and projects do not require an EstiForge account. Microsoft Store licensing, optional system speech recognition, and services you choose when sharing files have their own data handling as described below. These statements do not describe or disable Windows or Microsoft Store diagnostics.

1. Information handled by the app

EstiForge does not require users to create an account and does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, or precise physical location to use its core features.

Calculations, saved projects, settings, price-book entries, and similar user-created information are stored locally on the device for the local app workflows. You may choose to enter company or client contact information, notes, prices, or attach files and images to your work. Exports and portable backups may include that information and attachments. PDF, CSV and backup files are generated or shared when you choose the corresponding action.

2. Advertising and automatically collected information

Android versions that include advertising may display advertisements using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). Where that SDK is present and active, Google may automatically collect and share:

Approximate location, inferred from the device’s IP address;
App interactions, such as app launches, taps, and ad or video views;
Diagnostic information, such as app or SDK performance information; and
Device or other identifiers, including the Android advertising ID, App Set ID, and other applicable identifiers.

These data may be used for advertising or marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.

The Android ad-funded edition offers local tools with banner advertisements and occasional full-screen advertisements at natural breaks. Eligible Pro and legacy remove-ads purchases suppress advertisements. Buying Pro does not delete information already processed by third-party advertising services.

Where applicable, Google's User Messaging Platform presents consent choices before the app requests ads. You can decline consent or manage your options in that message. Where required, an Ad privacy settings option is available in the app's Settings to review or withdraw choices. Participating advertising partners and their purposes are listed in the consent interface. Declining consent does not prevent you from using the local calculators.

3. In-app purchases

On Android, EstiForge may offer digital upgrades or premium features through Google Play Billing. Payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Google may process purchase and device information according to its own privacy terms.

On Windows, the optional one-time Pro upgrade and restoring purchases use Microsoft Store. The app requests the available Pro product, its localized price, and Store-issued license status associated with the Microsoft Store account on the device. The app uses that license status to determine whether Pro features are available. Microsoft handles checkout and payment information; EstiForge does not collect or store full payment-card details. 4. How information is used

Information described in this policy may be used to:

provide and maintain app functionality;
display, measure, and improve advertisements;
understand app and advertising performance;
diagnose technical problems and improve reliability; and
prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents and comply with legal obligations.

5. Sharing of information

On Android versions using Google services, information may be shared with Google and its service providers for the advertising and billing purposes described above. On Windows, Microsoft processes Store purchases and licensing. When you choose to export, share, print, or copy information, the selected application, recipient, printer or service receives the content you provide. Their privacy practices apply to that copy. We do not sell user-created project data or calculation data.

Optional input and support

Voice input, where available, starts when you choose the microphone control and allow the required device permissions. The app uses the device's speech-recognition service and places recognized text into the input field. Speech processing may use the operating system provider's online services depending on device settings and availability; the app does not require on-device-only recognition. You can type instead of using voice input and manage microphone permissions in your device settings.

File and image selection is initiated by you. On supported mobile versions, optional receipt scanning uses a selected or captured image to extract receipt text and cost information. Receipt scanning is unavailable in Windows 2.1.7; costs are entered manually. Selected images, attachments and extracted information can become part of your local project or backup when you save them.

If you contact support by email, we receive the email address, message and attachments you send and use them to respond and investigate the issue. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unrelated personal information. Email providers handle the message under their own policies.

6. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored projects, settings, and calculation data remain on the device until the user deletes them or clears the app's storage. Removing the app may not remove exported files, backups or copies stored outside the app's own data area. Delete those copies separately from their saved destinations. Because EstiForge does not maintain user accounts or a developer-controlled user-profile database, there is no account-deletion process.

We retain support correspondence as needed to address your request and related support or legal obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of support information, subject to applicable retention obligations. Data processed by third-party services is retained according to those providers' own retention policies. Users can manage or reset the Android advertising ID through their device settings and may be shown consent or privacy controls where required.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the app. Information transmitted by supported Google services is sent over encrypted connections. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children’s privacy

EstiForge is designed for adults and construction-related professional or practical use. It is not directed to children, and its declared target audience on Google Play is users aged 18 and over.
